Corrosion Control
Long term corrosion monitoring ( i-COR and GP-5000)
Long term corrosion monitoring ( i-COR and GP-5000)
Corrosion mapping and monitoring
Specific analysis of detoriation its cause and rate are very important from point of deciding repair system to be adopted for projects for its suitability and durability.
Sanrachana has inhouse trained corrosion engineers to use and access various high-tech equipment’s and systems for studying corrosion in the structure; with the help of these equipment we can easily map corrosion potential contours and pinpoint the exact areas-corrosion hot spots that require due attention.
Depending on the existing corrosion rate and expected service life of the structure, sanrachana helps in designing precise corrosion mitigation strategy that suits client’s requirements.
Investigation for Durability
It is important to carry out chemical analysis of concrete before deciding on course of repair actions. Properties like Ph, Chloride, Sulphate, Carbonation along with advanced Progressive Chloride and sulphate profile helps in deciding repair strategies for given RCC structure.
MCI Corrosion treatment
MCI Corrosion treatment
These are bipolar corrosion inhibitors; due to its affinity for steel and high vapour pressure it passes through concrete and protects the embedded steel from corrosion at both cathodic and anodic ends.
MCI helps in protection of steel rebars from corrosion thereby extending service life and are available in two forms, surface applied liquid form as well as drill insert and embed type sustained release caplet.
In RCC elements already applied with surface protective coating liquid MCI are injected under pressure through nozzles at specific intervals.
Sacrificial Galvanic system
Sacrificial Galvanic system
Sacrificial galvanic anodes are part of cathodic protection (CP) system used to protect embedded steel from corrosion, made with metal alloy having more “active” voltage than steel rebars it protects steel by sacrificing itself in preference to the steel when applied properly as per design.
Spacing is decided based on type of structure, existing rate of corrosion, the resistivity of the base material concrete and the service life required.
ICCP-Fusion anodes
ICCP-Fusion anodes
Sanrachana provides services related to installation of ICCP cum Fusion anode systems which works on principle of inbuilt impressed current component that provides an initial phase of high charge density that passivates active corrosion and then, the anode automatically switches to a cathodic prevention phase, which maintains steel passivity and provides long- term, maintenance-free corrosion protection.
Advantages
- No external power sources required.
- Relatively easy to install and long lasting.
- Once installed, measuring system performance is relatively simple for trained personnel.
Sanrachana maintains required a team of engineers well versed with installation of the system as well as all the high end equipment’s required for such projects such as for mapping corrosion potential, GPR based rebar scanners, etc
Pile jacket cathodic protection
Pile jacket cathodic protection
Sanrachana provides pile repair services with use of prefabricated FRP jacket for piles affected by erosion or corrosion . These jackets are fixed to piles around the area of damage and the annular space is filled with under water micro concrete or epoxy grout through prefixed inlet ports available on jacket. Excessively damaged steel is replaced by underwater divers and CP systems are fixed for additional durability. FRP jacket with internal anchor holds becomes an part of the new member thereby protecting the repaired pile element from direct attack of erosive as well as corrosive forces.
Protective coatings
Protective coatings
Sanrachana works with various coatings such as rust converters, zinc rich and epoxy paints, corrosion inhibitors, hot and cold galvanizing, epoxy phenolic coatings, CPCC, concrete surface applied acid and alkali resistant hi build coatings, etc towards protecting of steel, rebars and concrete elements from process and environmental damages.
